Background Details

David Wicks entered the financial services industry in 1971, and has held a variety of Marketing, Technical and Developmental roles with life assurance companies. Until January 1991, when he resigned to start his own business, he was Marketing Director at NM Financial Management (formerly Schroder Financial Management).

As Managing Director of Finance Industry Training Limited (FIT), he provides various consultancy services to Insurance Companies, IFAs and other institutions in the financial world. In addition, he is a director of Mark Financial Limited, a publishing house.

Authorship

He writes extensively, and is author of a number of BPP textbooks.

He is editor of the Financial Advisers Factbook, published by Gee & Co, as well as contributing to their Pensions News, and is editor and publisher of Financial Planning Professional. He also writes for various Tolleys publications, and is co-author of Pension Fundamentals within the Perspective pensions reference system.
